Section Policies
The IGS Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal- OKULONGA, accepts submissions of scientific manuscripts in the following editorial categories:
- Editorial
- Original Articles
- Review Articles
Each category has its own objectives, structure, and criteria, described below.
EDITORIAL
An editorial is a text intended to present a vision, opinion, or critical analysis of current and relevant topics in the fields of science, education, innovation, and their relationship with society. It is generally written by members of the journal's editorial team or by invited experts.
The editorial does not follow the formal structure of a scientific article and may contain few or no bibliographic references.
Types of Editorial
Scientific Editorials
They present a rigorous update, a conceptual clarification, or a relevant scientific contextualization on a given topic of academic and social interest.
Opinion Editorials
They bring together the author's positions, critical reflections, or socio-scientific analyses on topics of common interest to researchers, teachers, and professionals, especially in the areas of science, education, and social development.
Specific standards
- Maximum length: 4 pages
- They can include up to 4 figures or tables.
- Editorial evaluation (not peer-reviewed)
ORIGINAL ARTICLES
Original Articles present the results of unpublished research, developed by the authors, with a relevant scientific contribution to the areas covered by the journal. They may be based on empirical, experimental, field studies, documentary or methodological analyses.
They must report scientific findings clearly and rigorously, including methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions.
Formatting guidelines
- Microsoft Word document
- Verdana font, size 10
- Spacing 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm
- No indents, tabs, or additional graphic elements.
- Each page should contain between 28 and 30 lines.
Extension
- Minimum: 10 pages (excluding bibliography and appendices)
- Maximum: 20 pages, including bibliography and appendices.

(Each section should be identified by its title, without numbering.)
Additional elements
- Up to 6 figures and/or tables
- Bibliographic references: minimum 10 and maximum 15
Manuscripts must adhere to the Uniformity Requirements for Manuscript Submissions adopted by the journal.
All original articles are submitted to double-blind peer review.
REVIEW ARTICLES
Review articles aim to offer a comprehensive and critical overview of the state of the art on a specific topic, identifying trends, research gaps, and future directions.
They do not present original data, but rather provide a systematic and analytical synthesis of studies previously published in recognized scientific journals or other relevant academic sources.
These articles discuss and substantiate existing theoretical positions, updating them in light of new knowledge and/or the authors' empirical experiences, thus contributing significantly to the advancement of scientific knowledge.

Review articles are subject to double-blind peer review, considering the depth of analysis, the timeliness of the sources, and the contribution to the state of the art.
FINAL PROVISIONS
- All submitted manuscripts must be original and unpublished and not under simultaneous review by another journal.
- The authors are responsible for the originality, scientific rigor, and adherence to ethical publication standards.
The journal reserves the right to update this policy whenever necessary, as decided by the Editorial Board.
